Today I brought you guys a different recipe. It’s so common in Sri Lanka to include chicken in most of our meals. It is so common in menus in Sri Lanka. Not only that, if we have a special occasion we always make chicken dishes. It’s going to be either curry chicken or with a whole lot of spices. but there is a limit, right? So today I have brought you a recipe that goes above and beyond the traditional chicken Curry. But most of the time we make curry chicken and today’s recipe is for someone who doesn’t want to cook the chicken the old way.

The other thing is this recipe is really good for people who have some friends or people over. Also, I should say that, if you are making these for small kids, make sure to reduce the spice level. The thing is small children love to eat spicy and fried food but not too much. So yeah, if you follow this recipe, you can make this by adding several spices and it is going to taste way better than store-bought

Preparation of Spicy Tempered Chicken

  1. First, clean the chicken well and marinate it by adding salt, turmeric powder, black pepper, chili powder, and a little bit of water.

  2. And Mix it well.

  3. let it marinate for 30 minutes.

  4. Then after 30 minutes fry the chicken well.

  5. Fry until it's golden brown and keep it aside.

  6. After that add 3 tbsp of oil to the pan and add some ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, and pandan leaves. Fry until golden brown.

  7. Then add onion to the pan and fry well.

  8. After that add tomato and green chilies and mix well.

  9. Next, add chili powder, salt, and black pepper

  10. And mix well.

  11. After that close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.

  12. Then remove the lid and mix well.

  13. After mixing, add the fried chicken and coat the chicken well.

  14. Add Some Chili Flakes.

    Only if you need it to be extra spicy you can add some chili flakes as well.
  15. Finally, mix well for 2 minutes and ENJOY!!!
